The opah, also known as the moonfish, is believed by scientists to be the first fully warm-blooded fish ever discovered. What makes this discovery all the more remarkable is the fact that moonfish are typically found at least 1,000 feet below the surface of the ocean, where waters are dark and extremely cold.
